The Lions are loading up on Snacks for the second half of the season.According to multiple reports Barry Sanders Jersey , the Giants are trading defensive tackle Damon Harrison to the Lions. A fifth-round pick will come back to the Giants in exchange for the man known as Snacks. It’s the second trade of a defensive player in as many days by the Giants as they sent cornerback Eli Apple to the Saints on Tuesday. Head coach Pat Shurmur said on Tuesday that the team isn’t tanking, but that may be a question of semantics because it certainly seems the 1-6 team is throwing in the towel so they can focus on acquiring assets to help them in the offseason.Harrison signed a five-year deal with the Giants in 2016 and was named a first-team All-Pro after his first year with the club. He’s been durable as well as productive as he has not missed a game since his first year with the Jets in 2012.Harrison is making a base salary of $7.75 million this year and his contract calls for base salaries of $6.75 million and $9 million the next two years. The Lions have used A'Shawn Robinson, Ricky Jean Francois and Sylvester Williams on the interior of their defensive line this season and currently rank 30th in the league against the run. They’re hoping Harrison will help them improve on that front and improve their chances of challenging for a playoff spot in the NFC in the process. Here are the snap counts for the Detroit Lions’ Week 7 win over the Dolphins.Offense:QuarterbacksMatthew Stafford: 64 (100%)Running backsKerryon Johnson: 38 (59%)LeGarrette Blount: 21 (33%)Ameer Abdullah: 7 (11%) — 3 special teams snap (11%)FullbacksNick Bellore: 14 (22%) — 16 (59%)Tight endsLuke Willson: 41 (64%) — 11 (41%)Levine Toilolo: 21 (33%) — 7 (26%)Michael Roberts: 19 (30%)Wide receiversMarvin Jones Jr.: 56 (88%) Kenny Golladay: 49 (77%)Golden Tate: 46 (72%) — 3 (11%)TJ Jones: 8 (12%) — 11 (41%)Offensive tacklesRick Wagner: 64 (100%) — 6 (22%)Taylor Decker: 64 (100%) — 6 (22%)Guards/centersGraham Glasgow: 64 (100%) — 6 (22%)Frank Ragnow: 64 (100%) — 6 (22%)T.J. Lang: 48 (75%)Kenny Wiggins: 16 (25%) — 6 (21%)Observations:First thing that jumps out is T.J. Lang getting a little bit of a reduced role. The team is clearly easing him in from his concussion suffered back in Week 4 http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-zach-zenner-jersey , and they took him off special teams, as well. It will be interesting to see if they continue to give him a limited role going forward or if this was just a one-off after the concussion scare. Kerryon Johnson had his highest percentage of snaps played on Sunday at 59 percent. His previous high was 47 percent, so this was a significant boost in playing time Womens Golden Tate III Jersey , and he sure did make the most of it. With Michael Roberts back in the lineup, Levine Toilolo saw the biggest decrease in snaps among tight ends. Luke Willson continues to dominate playing time among the position group. Only two defensive linemen played more than half the game Damon Harrison Jersey , while six defensive backs played at least 59 percent of the snaps. Sylvester Williams was back and part of the gameplan. Last week, he only played a single defensive play; this week he was back up to 15. Still, he’s way behind Robinson and Francois in playing time.Tracy Walker saw a significant uptick in special teams snaps White Austin Bryant Jersey , perhaps due to the injury to Jamal Agnew. TEEZ TABOR PLAYED MORE SNAPS THAN DARIUS SLAY. IS THERE A BATTLE BREWING FOR THE NO. 1 CORNERBACK JOB? (of course there isn’t).
